Were it began

Established in 2019, by myself Rose Craig, a mother, a sister, and wife who had a heart to help. As a child, I, watched my grandparents, who owned a restaurant, a pest control company all while they feed the homeless free and employed individuals from the community. In my early adulthood I began my journey, offering sandwiches downtown with my children. Beginning with about 50 lunches it quickly turned into over 100 in less than 6 months. From there I started taking families into my home, feeding homeless on the street, and riding around giving out clothes, blankets and more. At this point I knew that this was a mission God created for me. In 2021 after loosing my grandmother to COVID I wanted to remember her by honoring her words "Baby you need to put a name to what you do so others can help you." That is where Pennies 4 Pounds came from it stands for "Where small change makes a big difference." From there God placed others with the same passion in my way and together we set out to make small changes creating big differences in our own communities.
